My first big game project, I worked on DMUX for over 2 years. In the end I had implemented:

And a lot more. Once I had my footing with game development (or thought I did), I wanted to make a game about derby-styled combat involving junky cars. I gained most of my C++ experience with this project. It helped me learn that often times to get things done you need to stand on the shoulders of giants, and take the time to discover and fully contemplate the dependencies you use. I also learned 3D modelling, frontend GUI design, and countless things.
